YouTube channels and Content ID for content owners
For studios, distributors, broadcasters and labels. We create channels in our CMS, connect yours and protect what you upload.
On a channel in our CMS
How it worksWhat you get
Channels
New channels for your content, or the ones you already have connected to our CMS. Your team keeps publishing.
Monetization
Channels earn through YouTube's partner systems. YouTube reviews each channel under its own rules, so we don't promise dates.
Claims and disputes
Our team reviews Content ID claims and their disputes, and asks you when the answer depends on your rights.
Reports and payouts
Income and contracts in your HubTub account, payouts to your company. Terms depend on the catalogue and are named before signing.
How it goes
Request
You tell us about the company, the content and the rights.
Rights check
We go through the catalogue and ask for documents that confirm the rights in each territory.
Contract
We agree the terms, and you sign as a company in your HubTub account.
Channels
We create or connect the channels, and your team starts publishing.

Questions
What is a YouTube CMS?
Content Manager, YouTube's system for companies that work with many channels and content rights. Channels link to our CMS, and monetization and Content ID run through it.
Can we buy or rent access to your CMS?
No. YouTube's rules forbid selling or renting it. A channel joins our CMS under a contract, after a rights check.
Do we need exclusive rights?
Yes, in every territory you claim. Assets are created automatically from what you upload, and Content ID only accepts exclusive rights. If your rights cover only some countries, say so in the form and we'll see what can be done.
Can we send a catalogue to Content ID without uploading it to a channel?
No. Protection covers what's uploaded to channels in our CMS.
Who uploads the videos?
Your team: you run the channel, and we take care of the CMS, claims and payouts. If you'd like us to run it, say so in the form and we'll talk it over.
Who keeps the rights to the content?
You do. We get a licence for YouTube only, for the term of the contract only.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the catalogue and the work involved. We name the terms before signing and don't publish them.
Is HubTub part of YouTube?
No. We're an independent company working through YouTube's partner systems. YouTube doesn't endorse outside networks, ours included.
Tell us about your content
We'll reply by email after a first look at the rights and the catalogue.
