What is HubTub Pay?

HubTub is a YouTube partner network, or MCN: a company that partners with creators to help their channels earn and grow. HubTub Pay is the money side of that partnership, and it lives in your dashboard at app.hubtub.io.

In the dashboard you connect your channel, see its earnings month by month and your contract, and withdraw your balance with a method that works in your country.

How the money reaches you

  1. Your channel earns

    The month's income shows in your dashboard as it builds up, from YouTube's own data.

  2. YouTube pays

    After its final report, YouTube pays the month's income to the network, and your share lands on your balance.

  3. You withdraw

    Pick a method and an amount, see the exact sum you'll receive, and the money goes out.

Your data and Google permissions

  1. When you sign in

    Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us (the standard openid, email and profile permissions). We use them to identify your account and to write to you about it.

  2. When you connect a channel

    We ask for read-only permissions. youtube.readonly (“view your YouTube account”): your channel's identifier, title, picture, subscriber, view and video counts, country and most-viewed public videos, to confirm the channel is yours. Where you allow it, yt-analytics.readonly and yt-analytics-monetary.readonly: your channel's analytics for the last 12 months (views and watch time by month, viewers' countries, age groups and gender as aggregated percentages, traffic sources, the share of Shorts) and its estimated revenue; and youtubepartner-channel-audit: whether the channel is in good standing. Our team reviews this to evaluate your application and propose terms. Analytics data is kept only while it is needed for your application and deleted if not refreshed for 30 days. You can revoke access at any time in your Google account.

  3. What we never do

    We never post, edit or delete anything on your channel, never change your settings, and never see your Google password. Your data is not sold, and it is not used for advertising.

  4. How it is protected, and your control

    Channel access tokens and tax IDs are stored encrypted. You can remove HubTub's access at any time in your Google Account permissions, or write to creators@hubtub.io to disconnect a channel or delete your data.

Questions, answered

Who is HubTub Pay for?

For creators in the HubTub network: HubTub Pay is where their YouTube income is paid out. If you are a creator who has not joined yet, signing in with Google is also how you apply: you connect your channel and our team reviews it.

Which Google account should I use?

The one that owns the YouTube channel you want to connect. Ownership is confirmed through Google's own consent screen, not by a form you fill in.

What can HubTub do with my YouTube access?

Only read. We ask for read-only YouTube permissions: one to confirm the channel is yours and see its public statistics, and, where you allow it, ones to see your channel's analytics (views, watch time, where your audience is and how viewers find you), its revenue and whether it is in good standing. Our team uses them to review your application and propose terms. We cannot post, edit or delete anything on your channel.

How do I stop HubTub accessing my channel?

You can remove HubTub's access at any time in your Google Account, under permissions for third-party apps. To disconnect a channel or have your data deleted, write to creators@hubtub.io.

When does my income reach my balance?

When YouTube pays the network for the month, usually between the 21st and the 26th of the following month. With Early Pay, part of it can come to you sooner.
