You: Why did my revenue drop last week?
HubTub Pulse · get_channel_report90 days by day
Last week your channel earned $612.40, against $781.10 the week before. Almost all of the gap is Tuesday and Wednesday: views fell to about 9,000 a day from your usual 13,000, and revenue came back with them on Thursday.

Why creators connect HubTub Pulse

What the connector can read
Four tools, all read-only. Your assistant picks the one it needs for your question.
list_channelsYour channels at a glance: subscribers, videos and total views, with the last 7 or 28 days of YouTube Analytics beside the period before.
get_channel_reportOne channel in detail: 90 days by day, 12 months by month, audience, traffic sources and the 50 most-viewed videos with revenue, watch time and engagement.
get_video_retentionAudience retention of your top videos: where viewers keep watching and where they leave.
get_thumbnail_impressionsThumbnail impressions and YouTube’s click-through rate by video and day, for up to 30 days.
It never calls YouTube while you chat: it reads the reports Pulse already keeps, refreshed every night.
Private by design
You decide what your assistant reads, and you can take it back at any time.
You approve each assistant on a HubTub page. It signs in with OAuth and never sees your Google password.
Revenue only where the channel’s owner gave HubTub the revenue permission. Nothing else from your HubTub account, such as payouts or contracts.
See and disconnect your assistants in Pulse → Connected AI; one not used for 90 days is disconnected by itself.
Your assistant’s provider handles the reports it receives under its own terms: check its settings to see whether chats train its models.
Questions
YouTube MCP, explained
What is a YouTube MCP server?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard AI assistants use to connect to apps. A YouTube MCP server lets an assistant such as Claude read YouTube data when you ask. HubTub Pulse’s server reads your own channels’ YouTube Analytics reports.
Is there an official YouTube MCP server?
HubTub Pulse isn’t made by YouTube. It’s an independent app that reads your channels’ YouTube Analytics through YouTube’s official API, with your permission, and lets the AI assistants you choose read the same reports.
Is there a YouTube MCP for Claude?
Yes. HubTub Pulse is in Claude’s connector directory: open it, click Connect and sign in to HubTub. In a minute Claude can answer questions about your channel.
Do I need a YouTube API key or a Google Cloud project?
No. You sign in to HubTub with Google and add your channel to Pulse once; your assistant then signs in to HubTub. There are no keys to create or paste.
Can the AI change anything on my channel?
No. The connector is read-only: it can’t upload, edit or delete videos, and it doesn’t change your YouTube or HubTub settings.
How is it different from YouTube MCP servers on GitHub?
Most of them read public data with an API key you create: video titles, view counts, transcripts. HubTub Pulse reads your private YouTube Analytics (revenue, watch time, retention, thumbnail clicks), runs on our servers and needs no keys.
Does it work with ChatGPT, Cursor or other apps?
It works with apps that support remote MCP servers with sign-in (OAuth). Add the server address https://app.hubtub.io/api/mcp in the app’s connector settings and sign in to HubTub.
Is it free?
Yes. The connector is part of HubTub Pulse, which is free for every creator, with no limit on channels.
How do I disconnect it?
In Pulse → Connected AI, or in your assistant’s connector settings. A disconnected assistant loses access at once.
Ask your channel anything
